Trattoria Zia Lucia, nestled on Via Reverendo Papa Fedele in the charming Marina di Felloniche, is a gem of authentic Italian dining that beautifully captures the essence of Salento’s rich culinary traditions. This family-run restaurant invites you to savor the flavors of Southern Italy in an inviting, unpretentious setting that feels like a warm embrace from an old friend.
The cuisine here is a heartfelt celebration of local ingredients and classic recipes. While the menu itself is not listed explicitly, glowing customer favorites speak volumes: the linguine in lobster sauce stands out as a sublime dish, renowned for its delicate balance of rich seafood and perfectly al dente pasta. Pizza lovers will find themselves enchanted as well — made with super fresh ingredients, each pizza bursts with vibrant flavors, thin crust, and expertly blended toppings that promise to delight the palate.
The dining atmosphere at Trattoria Zia Lucia is cozy and homely rather than flashy. Guests are welcomed by a genuinely friendly staff, whose professionalism and warmth create a relaxed, “like coming home” feeling. The décor may be modest, featuring simple tables and chairs, and the ambiance is quietly enriched by laid-back radio tunes, but it’s precisely this genuine simplicity that allows the food and hospitality to shine.
Beyond the exceptional seafood and pizza, the trattoria offers a variety of traditional dishes that reflect the local fare, all portioned generously and priced fairly, making it a perfect destination for both casual meals and cherished celebrations. The wine selection, including a well-regarded rosé, complements dishes beautifully — though customers note it’s best enjoyed chilled.
Safety and comfort are clearly prioritized here, with excellent COVID-19 hygiene practices and ample parking making visits hassle-free. English menus and free Wi-Fi add thoughtful touches for international travelers, ensuring everyone can feel at ease and fully enjoy their experience.
The heartfelt testimonials from regulars and newcomers alike paint a vivid picture: Ludovica calls the pizza “one of the best I’ve ever had,” praising the fresh ingredients and inviting vibe. Richard Watkins, a seasoned coastal diner, declares the lobster linguine the best on the entire Salento coast, highlighting the restaurant’s excellent service and cleanliness. Other patrons, such as Valittiya Kitja and Linda Clarke, appreciate the professional yet homely service and the consistently rich, traditional dishes that make each visit memorable.
Trattoria Zia Lucia is more than just a meal — it’s a place where the soul of Italian cooking and heartfelt hospitality meet. The restaurant is a little bit under decorated. No fancy tables and chairs. No great view. The music from the radio. However, the food was great. Their rose vine is also fine. I could have enjoyed it more if it was colder. There is a menu in English, and free wifi access.

Once again, a very tasty meal, typical of the region and reasonably priced. We've been coming for many years and the owner has always made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend Zia Lucia, and thank you so much for the pear and almond tart!
